F1 Sepang Race 2007

It was a Good Friday, as we headed up to our neighbouring country, Malaysia towards Kuala Lumpur city. There were 8 of us.
There was a jam at the Malaysia custom, so it took us an hour plus to clear the immigration. After that, the traffic was quite smooth sailing.

The car we sat were first class, a JDM model Honda Accord with my Ipod not working with the original car audio headunit.

Driver: Clement Cheong; O+
Navigator: Chris Lee ; O+

Back seat:
Sleeper: Eugene with a "mask"; AB+
Another Sleeper: Small Chris; O+

It was all fun shopping, shopping, foot reflexology and eating their local food in KL. I did not know Clement is a shopperholic! Gosh ~! He can really shop !! We have walked several shopping centres to look for his expensive Timberland slippers, OOps I meant sandals. He was very particular regarding the words I used for his 'sandals".
But we did not manage to persuade Charlie to buy any stuff during our shopping tour.

Of course there is always this topic about Chris(thats me) and small Chris. Why small Chris is actually Chris Lim. Why is he called Small Chris? Whats the story behind it? They always ponder.......

People always asked that question... Then we will start with the time when we were in the army ...blah ..blah...blah ....(please email me if you wishes to know more about this story)

After our makan "brunch" at the Famous Ba Kut Teh stall at Jalan Imbi. We headed towards F1 Sepang Circuit.

Saw a yellow Lamborghini zooming pass us along the way and some 4x4 SUV together with saloon cars, taxis going onto the grass patches to beat the traffic jam on the highway. Luckily I left my car at home. Phew!

The car park was packed, car parked everywhere and anywhere! We fully parked our cars in front of a big hump. The F1 organiser did not maintain the surrounding of the F1 circuit, its a shame to this world class event. Finally I realized the car park we were in, was a MotorCross Race Track!
Having paid RM50 ticket for each person, we finally found a nice green grass patch in the open centre of the area K2. We spread out our ground sheets and each of us carries an umbrella. The heat was intense with no wind. We got our T shirts off, put on our suntan lotions and we wait for the race to commence.

As the race started to commence, after the National Anthem, there was no Fighter Jets zooming pass the circuit. Probably they are on a tight budget that they have to skip the Fighter Jets!

When the race commences at 3pm, the Formula 1 cars roar pass us with their V8 engines! The roaring sound from the F1 cars are tremendously loud and high pitch! The crowd roars loudly as they passes us.

If you have seen those fanciful ear plugs on TV, maybe you can consider these weird looking ear plugs Charlie had on them. Nevertheless, they still works accordingly to him ;-).

Food and drinks were expensive in the circuit. Small packet of Peanuts and soft drinks cost RM5 each! T shirt, each costing RM 160 and above.

The Race ended with McLaren with a 1st and 2nd position with Alonso, 1st on the Podium. Ferrari was 3rd. So we lost a bet worth of bucket of beer to Clement as he happily giggled!

Then it was going back to Singapore after a weekend of sun!

Hopefully we can see F1 held in Singapore in 2008 with the night street race !!!~

This is another topic: Adidas Limited Edition Sports Shoes for SALE from Clement.
Anyone interested, please contact him. Thanks ;-)

Cheers !!!!

My second Child - 5 March 2007

On 5th March 2007 was one of my most exciting day of my life. It was the birth date of my second child Ryan at Mt Alvernia Hospital. He was 3.245kg.

Just after Angie had her "Ba Cho Mee" in the evening, her waterbag burst. We rushed to Mt Alvernia hospital and Ryan was born!

My first child, Russell was very excited as well after Ryan was born. When I told him the news, he kept on saying, he wishes to talk to his younger brother. Of course it was not possible as Ryan only knew how to cry at that time.
We will be holding Ryan's 1st Month Birthday on the 1st April 2007. Venue will be confirmed later.
Your presence will be much appreciated. Therefore see you soon !!!

Philippines - Surigao - Dec 2006

Roger, myself and together with our dealer went to Surigao for a jobsite visit. Shall not talk too much about my hard working life.

Surigao is in Philippines. The journey took 1 .5 hrs flight from Manila, followed by 3 hours driving through small roads.
We arrived at our Travel Hotel, which from far looks like a farm house (left picture) The hotel had a nice sea view with simple
layout.

Our customers offered great hospitality! They catered a private boat ride to their island ( 2 hrs away) and then followed by a great tour around the jobsite island. Provided a great meal with a Big Suckling Pig and Giant size lobsters and Crabs!!

The lobsters were so big that Roger and myself had a lobster each and that were enough to fill our stomach ! Needless to say, we also had a few pieces of the crispy big suckling PIG ! Yummy !!

Sweden - October 2006 Trip

We had our annual Sweden trip last year in Oct 2006. Supposed to go Milan after our training, but chose not to as the air fare was expensive.

Our Annual trip to Sweden were a global event as everyone goes there for training. Shall not talk too much of the training.

We spent free time at Stockholm, the Capital of Sweden, the City of Angels!! Its a beautiful city with lot of lakes and histories. Its a wonderful city ! We only had a few days there for sight seeing, drinking coffee and having Tim Sum.

Manage to check out their pubs to have a look.

Skiing Trip in Korea

First Time I tried Snowboarding was in Australia. Then this time round, I managed to try snowboarding in Korea. It was after our Asia Product Meeting in Seoul and we had a 2 days R&R. Only only 1.5hrs away from Seoul city. So all the Product Managers from Asia.
I was excited and finally I get to buy my skiing gears in Singapore before I headed up to the mountains. The Skiing resort allowed night skiing till late midnight.

The only thing is the korean language which I do not understand, thus its pretty difficult to communicate with them upon your request. But I knew how to say "Kum sa mi da".

But nevertheless we had a great time and had a great view up there ! Hope to go there again !!

Malacca Trip

Its was a hasty trip with haze in Singapore. So thought of going over to Malaysia for a short relaxing trip. Wanted to go to Kuala Lumpur but afraid of the haze which I heard was pretty bad. So instead we opt for Malacca. After booking our hotel accommodation, I was told the haze would be worst in Malacca. So together with my parents, my family and small Chris and Felicia, we drove our red "Matrix" and the Electric Blue Mini to Malacca.
Fortunately after arriving in Malacca, the haze wasn't that bad.

After a heavy breakfast, small Chris was hungry again after some time, so we decided to try the "Round ball chicken rice stall" where the rice are in a form of small round balls. Looking at the queue for this Chicken rice stall in this picture, I am sure you will think the food over there would be fabulous !

So we managed to get a table and order our food, one of their specialty was the Assam Fish and their chicken rice. And the food is excellent ... highly recommended ... ++++

During this whole trip, we were eating, shopping, sleeping, eating, shopping, shopping .......

Of course there were trishaw riding ...................and some nostalgic interesting scenery viewing.

Do not doubt small chris's mini, it can become a very large luggage space when he put his back seats with all his shopping goodies ....

Of course there is this "Patrick" toy (from SpongeBob Square pants character) with "his add on" Adidas shoes ... that's Russell's creation.

We had great fun !!! .... If you guys and gals have time, you should go and have a look at Malacca...

Russell's first ride ..........

It was a Sunday, and an outing to the beach... making sand castles, picking sea shells.... Russell is showing his sea shell which he has just picked up .....

Russell has Colin ( his cousin) to play with on the beach.

With my help, they managed to built a nice sand castle with "river water? flowing around the castle and a bridge leading to the castle.

After bought Russell's bicycle for a year, he decided to started
riding when he saw Natalie rode his bicycle. Natalie is my niece whom is 1 year older than Russell.
So as Russell started riding his bicycle.

I can see the potential in him to be a good bicycle rider, just like me( see below picture).

One day, he can also be like me ....;-)

Rena's birthday - at Sentosa

Its was a Saturday afternoon, driving my car with my family to Sentosa. Lotsa of familar places as I passes through Sentosa. At Sentoda Golf club, asked the car park attendant, " Where is Ll Lido restaurant?' He reply with an answer : I don't know, I think Lido cinema is at Shaw Tower". So we decided to ignore his reply and proceed with our search.

We were early so apparently went to the Sentosa Hotel instead as "someone" mentioned Sentosa Golf Club and SPA. So I followed the Spa word. Was at Sentosa looking around, went to their toilet. Nice I must say, cooler than outside as it was airconditioned!!! *Whew!*

Finally we manage to get to Ll Lido at Sentosa Golf Club, they have one of the most specticular view !~ They also provide one of the best service I have encountered in Singapore! And also one of the worst golf T off at hole number 9 by someone whom I do not know.

Of course everyone brought out their fantastic digital cameras and show off, snapping around. Philo got a very nice looking Sony T5 , Eugene's had a Canon 800 and 4 x zooms ! Of course my is just the normal Canon Ixus which was replaced free due to my old camera which was had a damage lens. But the best is the best camera ( Eugene) has only a 64mb memory card which he can only take a few shots..... After that, he was being nag till non stop....

So after lunch, we proceed to KM8 where Jeremy and Alvin's families join us. I was wondering, why they called KM8, what I gathered from Eugene's info was that it was exactly 8 Kilometres away from Liquid Room whom the boss owns both these joints. Luckily it was not called CM 8000, CM-centimetres. *Phew!*

As you can see below, Eugene caught with pants down !!!!

Where we continue to have beer, and the kids playing sand. Then followed by soccer , kids vs adults ..

As usual, this couple is getting intimate again without knowing that I manage to snap them in action.

It was a great outing !!!!!

Christmas 2005 party

Christmas Party 2005

This year 2005, we had a Christmas party at Eugene's cafe. Its been yearly event for all our friends.

Then there came the Batman and Robin to save the day !

Of course there come his "favourite uncle" with very natural smiles....

Some of our friends in the making of the TV comedy series " FRIENDS", Singapore version ......

Science Centre trip since 10 years ago

The adventure begins ............................

So together with my niece, nephew and Russell decide to go on a expedition to go back time 70 million years ago, they decided to take the helicopter time-machine.

After travelling so far, Russell finally found a dinosaur fossil and started digging....

Finally the expedition completed, the dinosaur fossil is being exhibition at Singapore Science Centre ..............

This is Russell's favourite dinosaur, do you know what is this dinosaur call? Then let me enlighten you, its call the Triceratops! They have 3 horns on their head.

This is Angie's favourite dinosaur, it is called the Tyrannosaurus or rather most people known it was T Rex ! ..

Although its in a form of a skeleton, that the best picture I could get unless I am 70 million years old which I might get a real picture without getting eating up!
